This week, we had the pleasure of hosting a 3-day workshop with the team of experienced super users from Schultz Shipping A/S in Denmark.
Schultz Shipping A/S is part of the Schultz Shipping Group, established in 1926, providing high-quality shipping, handling, and stevedoring services. In addition to Denmark, Schultz Shipping operates in Germany and Poland.

“In Schultz, we have been using GAT-Ship since late 2017,” says René Jørgensen, Shipping Manager and Superuser from the Kalundborg office. “From then on, we have successfully used GAT-Ship for our operational port call handling. However, there has been a massive development in the software and within our organisation, so we decided to make a new start where we can take advantage of the best practices implemented, integrate our new ERP system and roll out to our international offices”.

“In Denmark, we have three major agencies in Kalundborg, Aalborg and Aarhus, operating harbours on Jylland and Skjælland. Our existing GAT-Ship database has many old and duplicate templates within different agencies. Now, we will focus more on standardising all templates and workflows across all agencies as we design our new GAT-Ship database from scratch. With the experience we have after using the system for 8 years, we can easily see what we want to keep as-is and what we will improve going forward. I’m sure we will be able to work more effortlessly with this new setup”.
